HR GENERALIST - Nashville

The HR Generalist leads employee relations, company culture, and oversees recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, and employment law compliance for all Tennessee-based employees.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising appropriate levels of judgment and discretion.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or another related field
• 3-5 years' experience in a Generalist role
• Thorough understanding of Tennessee employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent employee relations skills
• Flexible when priorities shift
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must be able to operate normal office machinery.
• Must be able to work in a usual office environment.
• Must be able to perform intermediate-level math calculations.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers in person, via telephone, and email.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Day-to-day employee support- benefit questions, policy questions, employee issues
• Day-to-day manager support
• Draft and post job openings after approval
• Phone screens
• Standard offer letters
• Draft exception offers and term letters for approval
• New hire orientation
• Research state and local employment laws
• Support employees during open enrollment
• Participate in post-open enrollment verifications.
• Perform other related duties as requested.

Event Carpenter - Los Angeles & Nashville

Join our team at MadeFirst and bring your carpentry skills to life in the world of live event production. As an Event Carpenter, you’ll be hands-on in fabricating, assembling, and installing custom-built structures and scenic elements for live shows, events, and exhibitions.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, preferably in live event or show environments.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents for live event setups.

  • Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery to cut, shape, and assemble materials with precision.

  • Ensure all builds meet our high standards of quality, durability, and safety.

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and executing physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel for on-site installations and event setups.
